Lead the group actuarial department and the active team lead of the solvency department. The function shall be responsible especially for the calculation and consolidation of the Group Solvency II process in terms of actuarial and risk processes. Furthermore, the function shall take a leading function for the group actuarial department as a whole, providing expert advice and support to the team as well as ensuring quality regarding actuarial calculations and reports.

The Global Head of Actuary will coordinate the group actuarial department, providing quality services and expert guidance on the actuarial product department, as well as being an active team lead function for the Solvency II team. Furthermore the function shall coordinate in close cooperation with the actuarial Solvency II teams of the local insurance companies the solo reporting of Solvency II and consolidate the actuarial results of the insurance and non-insurance companies within the FWU group. Additionally, the function will focus on 

• Leading the coordination of the annual reporting of MVBS, SFCR, RSR and QRTs
• Leading the coordination of the quarterly reporting QRTs
• Leading the actuarial calculation required for the risk assessment of the group (SCR, ORSA)
• Support the Group Actuarial Function and the Group Risk Function in their activities
• Further improve the newly set up processes of the consolidation in combination with the SOLVARA reporting tool

• Educational background in mathematics, actuarial- or financial science 
• Strong Solvency II knowledge is a must, especially in Pillar 1 and 3
• At least 5 years of working experience in life insurance company in the Solvency II area
• Experience in leading a (small) team would be beneficial
• Very good MS Excel and VBA skills
• Strong coordination skills
• Knowledge about SOLVARA software
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of coding and actuarial software would be a plus
• fluent in English
